We Still Can’t Explain it

For all of us who were not there on that glorious night when Christ first came into the world, we have a choice to deny or accept the event as true. Likewise, we have the choice to accept or deny that He died and rose again. But, if we have chosen to accept these “unseen” facts something happens deep inside our lives. Our choices, or what is really our faith, results in something unexplainable happening deep in our hearts. These facts become real in our spirit by the Holy Spirit. The Bible calls it having the witness or evidence. (Rom. 8:16, Heb.11:1, 1 Jn 5:10). How do we know that these events are true? We just know that we know.

In the same way, when the Bible says that Christ now lives in us and becomes us we have a choice. Do we accept this fact as true or not? When we do accept this truth, based on the Word of God (Col. 1:27, 3:4; Gal. 2:20), something miraculous takes place. His Spirit gives us the knowing that it’s true. Is it something we can make happen through performing certain disciplines or programs? No, all we do is believe the facts. It’s God’s job to bring about the knowing.

If you have accepted the facts of His coming in the flesh, He now lives in you (1 Jn. 4:2). You may not be able to explain it but, it’s true, and His Spirit will make Him known to you more and more every day.

Joy to the world, the Lord has come!

In this manner the faithful will thrive for God’s Glory.
